Safety culture research
There are lots of talk about safety culture nowadays. People talk about the importance of safety culture, but do we really know what is safety culture and how does it impact on safety? Lots of academic study had failed to demonstrate the link between safety culture and safety performance clearly. Even if some of the studies demonstrated relationship, the studies are usually conducted in a single organisation.
Even though the term safety climate/culture was introduced for more than 20 years, there is still much more to be done. I'm trying to conduct a comparative study across countries (possibly China, Singapore and Australia). If you are interested in such a study let me know. Thanks.
